Helichrysum
“I surrender to the pain; I believe I have learned the lessons it has presented to me.”
With her gentle strength , helichrysum will help you transform spiritually, emotionally and physically. She will heal your scars and provide a smooth platform for you to be reborn.
Helichysum, from the golden yellow blossoms of a small perennial herb, is one of the most highly valued essential oils due to its many health benefits. Found on the coast of Croatia and steam distilled, its name comes from the Greek words, helios, meaning sun, and chrysos, meaning gold.
Helichrysum is known for the amazing properties it offers the skin. It can be beneficial and healing for many skin conditions, from acne to sunburn and eczema. Rub it on stretch marks, use it in a face balm to help treat acne, or keep your skin looking young by warding off those wrinkles we (don't) love so much.
When using this oil topically, make sure you use a carrier oil, such as coconut oil, before applying it to your skin.
Although Helichrysum is most commonly and best known for its resoritive effects on the skin, it doesn't end there, it is widely used for many types of pain. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, it can be a helpful defence against infections and their associated pain and swelling. It's great for headaches, so the next time you're suffering, this could be a perfect oil to rub into your temples to help send it on its way.
Helichrysum is also an anticoagulant, and is sometimes nicknamed liquid stitches, because of its quick ability to aid in stopping bloodflow, such as for a nosebleed or small cut.
